Prophet's Mosque Medina, Saudi Arabia

Medina is the second most important pilgrimage site in Islam and is home to one of the largest mosques in the world. Millions of Muslims make an annual pilgrimage to the Saudi city, which is hot and dry all year round.

In the sun, the temperature often rises to 50°C. In order to provide visitors to the outdoor site with greater comfort and protection, large umbrellas have been erected to provide protection from the sun. There are a total of 250 sun umbrellas, with each one providing shade for an area of around 600 mÂ².

Condair has designed, manufactured and supplied a sophisticated cooling system, that is integrated into existing shading umbrellas, and cools the air up to 10°C.

Cern, Meyrin (Geneva), Switzerland

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is a leading institution in modern physics and nuclear research. It attracts international scientists and engineers to explore the fundamental properties of the universe, notably through its Large Hadron Collider, where atoms are accelerated to nearly the speed of light and collide.

Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall is probably the best-known concert building in Great Britain. Around two million guests a year enjoy acoustic cultural delights ranging from rock to classical music. Condair steam humidifiers ensure a perfect humidity in the organ chamber so that wooden parts maintain their integrity and shape, and move over each other perfectly, as they were designed to do.

Apple Campus, Cupertino

Cupertino, California, located close to San Francisco, is home to the headquarters of American technology company Apple. The building was designed by British architect Norman Foster, who realized the idea of an oversized ring in connection with the former Apple Campus at Infinite Loop No. 1 in Cupertino.

At a diameter of almost half a mile, the building complex offers a massive 2.8 million sq ft of usable space and accommodates 12,000 employees. The ring surrounds a 1.4 million sq ft park featuring rest areas, cafés, sports facilities and a rainbow-colored festival stage that was inaugurated by Lady Gaga in 2018. Powered entirely by renewable energy, the building features a 17-megawatt rooftop solar array and energy-efficient evaporative cooling from Condair.

BMW Welt

BMW World is located in an important location in Munich between the BMW four-cylinder and the Olympic Park. It was opened in October 2007 and has since provided space for exhibitions, the delivery of new vehicles and events.The open design was developed by the architects Himmelb(l)au and is characterized by the striking double cone at the southern tip of the building. This has a diameter of 40 meters, is around 30 meters high andmade of 680 tons of steel. Hourglass, Amsterdam

The Hourglass in Amsterdam's Zuidas business district is particularly striking due to its unusual structure and light-colored natural stone facade. Designed by Dutch star architects Dam Partner,the architecture of the 80-meter-high building complex is hourglass-shaped and based on the artwork of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncusi.The Hourglass is a mixed-use development with 21,000 square meters of offices, 700 square meters of retail and restaurant space, and a luxury hotel with 115 apartments for long-term stays.Condair hybrid humidifiers ensure comfortable and healthy room air humidity.

Capital Airport, Beijing

Measured by passenger volume of roughly 84 million passengers annually, the Beijing Capital Airport is the second biggest airport in the world. The massive steel and glass construction at Terminal 3 was designed by Sir Norman Foster. It covers an area of 1.3 million m2, making it the biggest building in the world. The architecture of the airport tries to combine elements of traditional Chinese architecture with modern ones. The bright red columns and the dull golden roof are meant to evoke the imperial palaces and temples of Beijing. Triangular skylights allow the terminal to appear bright and airy and optimal humidity is maintained by the hybrid humidifiers by Condair.

Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts center in Sydney, Australia, identified as one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings. Though its name suggests a single venue, the building comprises multiple performance venues which together are among the busiest of performing arts centers & dash hosting well over 1,500 performances annually, attended by more than 1.2 million people.
